Incidentally I seem to remember that many of the pictures she posed for were themselves seen as highly transgressive by the standards of that time, and this in itself gave her something of a reputation.<br /><br />I've recently been reading up on the pre-Raphaelites and others such as Byron, since there seems to be a resurgence of interest in this period and this group.
